In the last year of Unique Performance a group of new employees were disheartened by the quality of vehicles being built and took on the mission of bringing these vehicles to a level of performance and quality that matched their reputation. This group drew on its background of custom motorcycle and car building, OEM dealer experience, custom welding and fabrication, and years of grass roots experience building cars. They revised assembly procedures, researched new products, and developed retro fit fixes to correct the issues that had plagued these vehicles since their inception. The ultimate goal was for the customer to be overjoyed when they received their car functioning as it was designed.

Although these vehicles were built with high end custom, and name brand components, many of them did not work well together or required extensive modification to make them work; as a result many of the vehicles systems either operated poorly or routinely failed. Some parts chosen for production were racing parts that were designed to be operated under extreme conditions but were not suited for street driving. Other parts had become obsolete due to the explosive growth in the aftermarket performance industry and had never been upgraded. It soon became apparent that many of these systems would require complete redesign to make them drivable, functional, and durable under street use. Many hours were spent researching new products and talking to industry experts and suppliers on the best choice of parts for our use. Tools were developed to standardize fabricated parts, a quality control program was implemented to address production build issues, and prototype parts were developed to test new ideas prior to production changes.
By the end of summer in 2007 the Super Snake 427 FE overheating and lack of power issues had been corrected. The Super Snakes were producing the advertised horsepower, were street drivable, and had a good operating temperature in 105* Texas weather in stop and go traffic. The small block Mustang cars had been upgraded to a sequential fuel injection system that gave them better drivability, better throttle response, and better fuel efficiency. Revisions were being made to the entire build process including the ignition systems, fuel systems, suspension and steering systems, the parking brake systems, clutches and clutch hydraulics. The Camaros benefited from better tuning, suspension and cooling system revisions. New vehicle build quality was drastically improving in a short period of time as these improvements made their way to the assembly line.
With the closing of Unique Performance we were again reminded of the failings of this industry and have taken the steps to form Revved Automotive Concepts to continue our work of customer satisfaction through the delivery of a high quality product. We have furthered our work by continuing to rework these vehicles for UP customers and are offering our services to build upgraded versions of these vehicles for discerning customers.
