SS023 was in the unfortunate situation of being at Unique Performance for upgrade at the time of the police impound. This Super Snake had only seen 50 miles of driving in two years of ownership due to the typical overheating and poor drivability issues. This is the first Super Snake that we have reworked as Revved Automotive Concepts and is one of the best we have driven. SS023 received our Super Snake upgrade package for the cooling system, air intake, ignition system, carburetion, and fuel delivery system; in addition to our work on the suspension, electrical system, and parking brake system.

While at our partner body restoration shop SS023 underwent significant body repairs. In addition to repairing the UP chronic cracking around the fiberglass body parts we also removed the fiberglass front end, disassembled the bonded together pieces and made it serviceable to prevent the other chronic cracking and paint stretching issues. As you can see in the pictures the front header panel and lower valance were cut loose from the fenders, the fiberglass flanges were rebuilt and steel strain reliefs were fabricated and bonded into the front of the fender and the fender lip where it bolts to the upper apron. This prevents the chronic cracking around the fender mounting bolts and where the header panel and lower valance were bonded to the fenders when the car was originally built. Now the front end is serviceable as individual pieces if needed. Great attention was spent on finishing out rough fiberglass areas and correcting body gaps. The paint on the entire vehicle was covered with pinholes after sitting in the Texas sun for 4 months so the entire body was sanded, and sealed, blocked and primed twice, before the entire car was repainted.
